Born and raised in México, Sandra Dolores Gómez Amador is a poet, editor, and interpreter-translator. She earned her BA in English Literature from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where she received the 2022 Award for Best Dissertation, and her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Tennessee, where she wrote the institution’s first-ever bilingual thesis. Sandra Dolores has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the 2025 Allman Prize for Poetry from the Bellevue Literary Review. Recently, she was a finalist for the 2026 Scotti Merrill Emerging Writers Awards from Key West Literary Seminar. She is a Tin House, Community of Writers, British Centre for Literary Translation, and Letras Latinas fellow. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in EPOCH, The McNeese Review, Anomalous Press, Nashville Review, and elsewhere. Her poems have been nominated for Best New Poets, the AWP Intro to Journals Awards, Best Microfiction, and the Pushcart Prize. Currently, she is a workshop reading fellow for the McCormack Writing Center and is working on her first poetry manuscript. Lola is a PhD student in Hispanic Studies and Creative Writing at Emory University.
Sandra Dolores Gómez Amador nació y creció en México. Es poeta, editora e intérprete-traductora. Es Licenciada en Letras Inglesas por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, donde ganó el premio a la mejor tesis en 2022 y Maestra en Escritura Creativa por la Universidad de Tennessee, donde escribió la primera tesis bilingüe de la institución. Sandra Dolores ha sido acreedora de diversos premios y reconocimientos literarios, entre ellos, el Allman Prize for Poetry 2025 de la revista Bellevue Literary Review.
